Storm

Powerful thunder is rolling and booming outside. A few minutes ago, searching for something in the living room, I heard a great whoosh and looked out through the blinds to see a heavy downpour and wind blowing the leaves off the trees. Now it sounds as though giants are bowling down the street. Or in the mountains, as Rip Van Winkle knew.

I wonder, when I go to sleep tonight, if I'll wake up in forty years, and what will become of me then.
