November 26, 2004 Codes Within Codes This is for anyone who owns a hardcover copy of Dan Brown's The DaVinci Code. Look on the dust jacket, front and back flaps, where the synopsis is. If you look carefully, you'll notice that every so often a letter within a word is typed in boldface, whereas everything around it is in plain type. The letters are subtle, so you'll have to pay attention, but once you see them they'll pop out. If you string these letters together, they spell: Is there no help for the widows son Has anyone else noticed this? It has nothing to do with the story. I went to danbrown.com and there is no place to ask anyone or contact him about it, and they say the publisher won't forward mail. It is an interesting website, however, with some fun interactive secret stuff that would be occupying the rest of my afternoon if I hadn't come down with a slight something this week that's put me under the weather. But, really, what about this sentence?? Hm. |
